Opportunities in Serbia’s Power Sector
Serbia is aligning with the Energy Community Treaty to decarbonise and liberalise its market. In July 2023, it launched an intraday market, advancing towards EU integration. With strong wind and solar potential, Serbia plans to award market premiums for 1,300 MW of renewable energy over the next three years, beginning with the first CfD auction in June 2023.
